Hybrid Video Coding Using Wavelets and Mpp

چکیده
In this paper we discuss methods for hybrid video coding at very low bit rates. In this context, we present a matching pursuit based residue coder, and we move from DCT-based I-frame coding to wavelet-based I-frame coding. Obtained results are discussed with respect to a H.263 video coder.
